What does a Navamsa D9 calculator show?
A Navamsa, or D9, divides every 30-degree rashi into nine equal parts of 3 degrees 20 minutes. This calculator maps the birth Lagna and Navagraha positions into those divisions, showing the D9 rashi, degree, division number, and whole-sign house for each graha. It is a calculation tool and does not provide predictions or compatibility readings.
How the D9 is derived
The D9 position comes from the sidereal longitude already calculated for the birth instant. Multiplying that longitude by nine identifies the Navamsa rashi and degree.
Lagna and houses
The D9 Lagna is calculated from the same exact birth time and location. Every D9 graha is then placed into a whole-sign house from that D9 Lagna.
