About This Policy
Samvat is operated by SUPAMAKERS LIMITED, the controller responsible for your personal data. Our Contact page lists the company details and postal address for privacy requests.

Calculators and Accounts
Free calendars and calculators do not require an account. Calculator birth details stay in your browser's local storage to restore the form. They become part of your account only if you save a family profile.
Signing in gives us your Firebase account identifier and available phone number, email, name and photo. Saved profiles contain the name, relationship, birth details, location, timezone and calculation tradition you choose.
Payments and Reports
We record purchases, payment status, Stripe references and report credits. Stripe processes payment credentials; Samvat does not store card, bank-account or UPI credentials.
AI-assisted reports use your selected profile and calculated chart evidence. Completed reports and their generation status are stored privately in your account.
Why We Use Data
We use account, profile and report data to deliver the service you request under our contract with you. We retain payment and audit records to meet legal duties. Security, fraud prevention and aggregate analytics serve our legitimate interests in running and improving Samvat.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Only save another person's profile when you have their permission or appropriate authority; children's profiles require appropriate parental responsibility or authority.
Service Providers and Transfers
Firebase handles sign-in, Convex stores and processes private application data, Stripe handles payments, Vercel hosts the website, and OpenAI generates AI-assisted report text. Plausible provides aggregate analytics without receiving birth details in analytics events.
Providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
Retention and Security
Clear site data to remove browser-stored calculator details. We keep account profiles and reports while needed for your account, until a valid deletion request is completed. Backups, security, disputes and legal obligations may require limited retention beyond that.
Purchase records are kept for the legally required period. We use access controls and authenticated private storage, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing. Write to the registered office on our Contact page to make a request. Never include passwords or payment credentials.
Samvat does not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Reports are informational, not professional advice. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office about a privacy concern.
